Who is Jesus Christ

QUESTION: Who is Jesus Christ?

ANSWER:

Should who is Jesus Christ concern me? Yes! After all, Jesus Christ was born with you in mind. He was born to bring salvation - deliverance from the power and effects of sin - to the world. Luke 2:30-32 says, "For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel." "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21).

Jesus Christ's birth was the ultimate fulfillment of prophecy, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14). Immanuel means "God with us" (Matthew 1:23).

These passages indicate what a special person Jesus Christ is. Natural processes did not conceive Him since His mother Mary was a virgin. Even of greater significance is the fact that He was God dwelling among mankind.

Should who is Jesus Christ concern me? Indeed, it must because Jesus is God. "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form" (Colossians 2:9). He mingled with His creation (which includes you) with the purpose of delivering them from the present and eternal effects of sin. "

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him" (Colossians 1:15-16).

"Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation" (Colossians 1:21-22.).

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).

Interestingly, many are confused by the concept of how Jesus Christ can be God's son and yet be fully God. We can be deterred by this mind-boggling question or we can grasp the opportunity presented to us. We are sons of men. He is the Son of God. Jesus Christ has given us the opportunity to be children of God! "But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons" (Galatians 4:4-5).

Should who is Jesus Christ concern me? Yes, it should, because He has provided you with the grand opportunity to become a Son of God. Jesus Christ has taken up the role of being an offspring. Not an offspring of man, but the first offspring of God paving the way for others. John 1:12-13 says, "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."

Why not accept Jesus Christ. That is the reason why He came.

What do you think?
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
